Power nap!

Never underestimate the power of a power nap! Lots and lots of mischief can be accomplished after a short nap, let me tell you. Husse and Matte don't know half of what I get into, they only see traces of what I might have been up to... But it's part of the fun! Matte has become fairly quick with her camera and I decided to show you pictures of when I wake up from power naps.

Stretching is good for you!

Yawning is also stretching

Cat Gym!

My catousin... hmm? I guess Nils is the cousin and I am the catousin? Well, anyway! Nils and his mother stayed with us for a couple of days last week. I didn't know what to think of the arrangements at first, but I finally realized that they were really nice company. Nils is about 5 weeks old now and he is outgrowing me fast.
Husse and Matte went to work as usual, leaving me to watch the house and be a pleasant host. I think I did fine. The first day I slept all day and but by Thursday I curled up next to them on the couch and purred.
Thursday evening they brought home something very interesting: a cat gym! Strangely enough Nils and his mother brought it with them when they left. Maybe it was a Nils gym? Anyway, it was nice and soft, I loved sleeping there.
Toying

Cozy! Perfect size, too.

I've been to the vet

About two months ago, Husse and Matte began to worry about me. I've been pulling fur, licking and chewing on spots on my body. The blood looks really dramatic against my white fur. My skin specialist (!) thinks it's a food allergy, so I'm on a food allergy diet. It works fine, apart from the fact that I still scratch. Not as badly though, but still. Matte still worry, so yesterday she took me to the vet. I don't mind going, it's kind of exciting with an outing.
At the vet's I got to check out every inch of the room and Matte held me so I could look out the window. I really enjoyed that! The vet, Rikke, was really sweet and I liked her a lot. I purred when she talked to me. And I had to purr-apologize to her too - when she took hair and blood samples she had to scratch me with a small knife. I did not enjoy that, so I growled. (Matte didn't even know I knew how to do that! She was very proud of me.)
And then a nurse came to pull some blood for an allergy test. She shaved and stuck a needle in me. I was surprised, but sat still. Once it started to get boring I skipped about a little and the nurse decided she had enough of my blood. I had a band-aid on my leg, but Matte took it off (as instructed by the vet) when we got back home, so that I could get cleaned up.
It is tiresome though, to have such an exciting day. I slept all afternoon, took Matte for a short walk around dinner time, and then slept all evening as well.
This is where Rikke took hair and blood sample

This is me, getting cleaned up

Enok Tailor

So you already know that I can boss Matte around - she makes me breakfast when I want it and she takes me for walks. And you already know that I am responsible for certain chores in the household, keeping the library among other things. But did you know that I'm the tailor also? Well, neither did Husse, Matte or I! Until Husse's parents came to visit. Husse's mom brought out the sewing machine and as you can see from the picutre, I'm helping her. We shortened a pair of new pants for Husse's dad. I have to say, I'm really earning my living here!

Hard to catch

Matte says it's been raining today, that's why she didn't want me to take a walk outside. But I insisted, so eventually we did. I admit, my paws got wet which I didn't care for. And the fur on my back got wet when I walked under a table, didn't like that either. Getting wet, that is. Being outside is great fun!
When we got back inside, I was in a very playful mood. Matte and I played until I had to clean my fur for about an hour. While we were playing she tried to get a good picture of me. I think she was rather successful. But I'm hard to catch... See for yourself!

I'm jumping up in the chair - not much of me in this picture...
Allright, I'm in the picture... But Matte's focus - or rather the camera's - is elsewhere

I can do it!

No, I don't need help. Thank you, Husse, but I can do it myself! Get out of the cupboard, that is. I'm not allowed in there, I know that. But it is very cozy, lots of interesting things to check out and move about so I get a comfortable spot. I take every opportunity to sneak in. It's quite a challenge tricking Husse and Matte and get passed them into the cupboard, let me tell you. The best timing is when they are holding something heavy and haven't had time to close the door yet... They're clever, but so am I!

Husse: Let me help you out. Enok: No, I'm not ready yet, leave me alone!

See, I can do it! But I decide when!
