Ladder climbing

Husse and Matte celebrated Christmas at Matte's sister's house. The house is about 1,5 hours drive from where I live with Husse and Matte, so they decided to bring me and spend two nights there. We stayed in the guesthouse. The bedroom is upstairs, just as it is in our own house. But these stairs were strange. More of a ladder climbing experience than anything else, I have to say. Husse and Matte were worried that I would climb up and not be able to get down again... haha! I am a cat! I can do anything! (... anything I want to...)

Hungry!

Matte says the diet I am on now is good for me, becuase I don't seem to be hungry a-l-l the time. She may be right, but I think that there is nothing as nice as a pleasant buffet. I know Matte agrees with me - I have listened to her happy chatter about "julbord" the last couple of weeks. As far as I understand, it's a buffet with stuff that Matte - and I if I was allowed - likes to eat (salmon, meatballs, herring, sausages...). Here are some pictures of me eating a "surprise buffet" - it wasn't planned by me and certainely not by Matte!

So this is me when I blog. First I contemplate and get inspired. I prefer sitting on the keyboard, it's not only nice and warm, but keeps me focused. Highly recommended! I suggest you try it at work. If nothing else, your colleagues will have something to talk about at the coffee machine. Once I start typing, it is difficult to break my focus... unless there's a bird outside the window!

Massage

Uuuhaaaah, this is soooo good! A Husse-massage is just wonderful! Husse and Matte have been gone all day, so I'm well worth the extra attention.

Relaxing

I really enjoy evenings when Husse and Matte are at home. Weekend nights when they relax and sit down for a while at dinnertime are my favourites. I like to take the opportunity to sit down with them. To make sure Husse doesn't go anywhere, I sit on his lap. We love our little moments together!

Dutt and Dot

I have a new friend! We've been friends for about 6 weeks already. Her (?) name is Dot and she is red. She lives in our living room and is only about when Husse or Matte is in the room. Dot is real good at running and hiding. We have most fund when I chase her all over the carpet. Her hiding place is usually by the sheep skin. When she's not around, I tend to stay close to the sheep skin and wait for her to show up.

Nicknames...

You wouldn't believe the amount of nicknames Matte has given me! Love, Sweetheart, Darling... and LoudMouth, White Lion, KurreDutt... (Have you read Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren? Pippi's father is king of "kurredutterna"... "Kurra" in Swedish could be "purr".... Purr = Spinna... enough of that!) Anyway!!! Matte calls me - among other things - KurreDutt... and sometimes just "Dutt". She says "Come on, Dutt, do you want to play?" Of course I do! What does she think indoor cats are meant to do???

This is me being "Galenpanna" (another nickname from Matte... it means "Crazy Head" or something like that)

PS. Husse calls me "FluffBall" DS.

Dr Enok

Both Husse and Matte have had bad colds this past week. Husse stayed at home all week, Matte stayed home from Tuesday or Wednesday. They have been in a pretty bad shape. I have helped them as much as I can, being an inspiration. I recommend resting, sleeping, napping... some food, some water... and more sleep! To make them understand I showed them how to do it. They're not very good at curl up in a chair, I have to say. Nor sleeping on the floor... They seem to prefer the comfort of a bed or a sofa, even though I know Matte sleeps in the car every now and then. Husse is resting on the sofa right now, Matte is about to take a nap (but not in the car!). I guess I have tought them well!

New plants

A couple of weeks ago, Matte decided to get new plants for the house. She and Husse went shopping and came back with about 15 new plants! It's like a jungle here now! Husse and Matte made some good choices though, the plants are not endangering my health and 3 of them were for me!

Plants need water and so do I. This water tastes of basil - quite interesting. Maybe an idea for Ramlösa?

Happy Purrday, Husse!

Matte got up early this morning. She kept me from telling Husse to get up every half hour from about 6.30, until he finally did get up around 8.30. But then it is Husse's Purrday! I sang, together with Matte, "Happy Purrday to you, Happy Purrday to you, Happy Purrday, dear Husse, Happy Purrday Mjau Mjau". He seemed to appreciate it. I love my Husse!

Friday night's gonna be allright

Yep, Friday nigh's gonna be allright! Husse came home early and took me for my walk in the garden. Matte came about an hour later and she and I played with my new toy, a red light, that I like to chase. It's a mysterious little light-thing that keeps disappearing on me... But I chase it with great enthusiasm and marvel at it's speed.
Sometimes Husse and Matte like to get a little something before they have dinner. They feed me first, of course. I want to eat a little before and after my garden-walks and they have learned to adjust to that. Anyway, Husse and Matte have this secret cupboard, and well.. guess what! I was successful in getting in there!

Golf

Husse and I have been watching golf together. Matte was... somewhere else. She watches golf every now and then as well, but this time it was a guy-thing. Matte and I watch other shows together, like "E.R.". Honestly? I don't mind sleeping to anything that's on tv!!

Slowly but surely

Slowly but surely Husse's work in the basement progresses. These are some early pictures of me making sure everything is in order. Husse and Matte brought in some extra help and I assisted them in keeping an eye on the guys. Only lousy part of the renovation process was that Husse and Matte locked me in the living room for a day every now and then. Until Husse found a way to block the stairs. Very sad... but at least I had access to the rest of the house!

Anniversary

Husse and Matte recently celebrated their 7th anniversary. They treated themselves to a quiet evening at home and a nice meal. They let me in on the deal by giving me a nice meal too. I don't get the soft food everyday, but this being a special day I even got my favourite flavour: tuna! It is goooood!!

Husse's assistant

As if I'm not busy enough, I'm also Husse's assistant. Every now and then Husse doesn't go to the office, but stays at home and work from here. Of course I'm happy to help him any way I can! I also know the importance of taking a break, so I make sure he gets his cup of coffee... usually about the time when I like my little snack or negotiate a short walk in the garden (hardly ever happens, but asking never hurt anyone!).

Matte's Little Helper

I'm "Matte's Little Helper"! Please feel free to listen to Rolling Stones' "Mother's Little Helper"... but that's not the kind of help my Matte need, nor is it the kind of help I offer. Recently, I have helped Matte quite a bit: ironing, cleaning floors (vacuum and wet), mowing the lawn, doing dishes and drying them... Matte gets so much done when I'm around!


I help Matte watch her favourite show "E.R.", by making sure she can't iron


I make sure Matte doesn't wear her favourite shirt too often. When Matte mowed the lawn I watched her from every possible window! She didn't miss a spot.

I am not certain the lid will stay... but ok, I'll trust Matte on this one!

Maybe Matte shouldn't leave this part sticking out? Someone (me!) could trip over it...

Scratchercize

Scratchercizing is not only great fun, it's good for you too! You can scratch indoors, on curtains, walls or outdoors on the patio or find a tree. (Husse and Matte recommend trees... but they still haven't planted an indoor-tree for me to scratch. I have scratchingpoles, but they are no fun...). I also found the screen door! Great not only for scratching, but also for climbing. I scratched the lower part goooood :-) There's a big hole in the door now, so Husse took it down. I don't know why they blame me??

Focus!

Husse's toys

I like my toys, I have a pingpong ball and feathers and stuff like that. Husse also likes his toys, but his stuff is ... well maybe not boring, but not as much toys if you see what I mean. He rented a thing to get the wall paper glue off the walls in the basement: is that a toy? To Husse it is! Husse also has a BBQ, where he cooks quite often. Matte and I especially enjoy watching him cooking on it when it is raining outdoors.
