Matte got us our breakfast at 6 and then she had another nap. She woke up shortly before 8 by Skuggan trying to open the closet door. Matte very slowly reached out to give Skuggan a hand: and Skuggan stayed where she was, patiently waiting!! Matte was amazed. Now that Skuggan knew how to open the door, she opened the closet from the other end. Matte is really proud of Skuggan.
Skuggan started talking down in the kitchen, so Matte gets up to get Skuggan her second breakfast. While Skuggan finishes her meal, Matte empties the trash and brings in the morning paper. Briefly reading the main news, Skuggan is now patiently waiting for Matte. When Matte is about to leave the room, she expects Skuggan to scurry in under the table and hide... but Skuggan gets up and calmly walks toward Matte! Matte is dumbfounded... this has never happened before. And then Skuggan tells Matte she would like some more breakfast. Of course, Matte gets Skuggan another snack and they walk together to Skuggan's bowl. Matte is absolutely amazed.
So after a snuggle with me, purrmaster himself, Matte gets up to tell of Skuggan's bravery this morning. On her way to start the computer, there's a shiny, black thing on the floor. Matte picks it up, wondering what it is and puts it on a small side-table. Then she starts moving the computer mouse to get the blog entry started. Nothing happens. Turning the computer mouse upside down, the back is missing. And so are the batteries. Matte walks over to Husse and says "I trust you're the one taking the batteries out of the computer mouse?". Husse says "No". They are both baffled: I had managed to get the back off, the batteries out (they were later found on the floor) and turn the computer mouse back in its correct position and in it's right place.
