Visitor

Husse and Matte had dear friends over and they spent the night. Skuggan was really shy, but she did sneak up on them to check them out when they were sleeping. I kept quite busy but when they listened to the radio crosswords I gave up. I was really tired, my head fell to the side of the chair. 

A friend of Husse and Matte is a friend of mine. I say we keep this one, she's really great at scratching me behind the ears!!

Overnight

Someone was coming to spend the night which always is interesting. I helped Husse make up the sofabed and when Matte assisted with the duvets, she finally made the bed just the way I want it! 

Vacation and Vaccination

Skuggan and I have been on vacation! We went to the cat hotel and stayed there for 6 days. Our neighbour Simba was really nice and friendly, he left after a few days. Another fellow moved in, he was really cool too. I had a great time! Skuggan was reported to have spent most of her time under a chair, but when Matte came to pick us up, we were both on the top shelf. For the first time, Skuggan didn't hide from Matte and Matte was soooo proud! Skuggan hissed and growled a lot, up to the point that her eyes watered... On our way home we made a stop at the vet's to get our annual vaccination. I protested a little coming through the doors and Skuggan joined me. It was quite a choir! It turned out to be a really nice vet, she was cool and checked me out a bit before the shot. Skuggan hid under a chair until Matte brought her up on the table. While Skuggan got her shot I attempted breaking into a cupboard, it was great fun (though unsuccessful)! The vet laughed at me and thought me really clever. 

Vacation is fun, vaccination is ok, but home is where the heart is! Once my secretary has typed this up, I will take her for a walk in the garden to check out any pee-mails. 

Other things to do on a rainy day...

Your really didn't want to take a nap, did you? Well, there's lots of things to do on a rainy day! Just not go outside - yuck! You'll get wet and that's just... *shudders* Scary and nasty, that's what it is! So why don't you ... 

... play hide and seek?! 

... or clean out the bowl of toys?

 ... climb way up high?

 ... do something really silly like place a yellow ball on your cat... nah, nobody would do that!

 ... explore! There's always something interesting somewhere! 

 ... pretend to clean out the cupboards, check out the ceiling instead... 

 ... go through the book-shelves, there might be a title that's better off on the floor... 

 ... or get started on your next thoughts on your fantastic blog!

One of those days

It's raining. Then raining some more. And more. And more!!! So today is one of those days: a day to stay in bed and nap. You don't know how to? You're not tired? Bah! Just cuddle up, take a deep breath and close your eyes. Easy! Sleep tight!!

Who are you?

Peacefully taking my stroll in the garden, stopped suddenly when two little birds stayed where they were... Hunched down and slowly sneaked up on them. They didn't move. Very odd! I was allowed to smell them... pfft! Fake birds! What will they think of next? But Skuggan and I appreciate the new bird bath that Matte put out. We can see it from our favourite window and the birds seem to love it too. They drink the water and bath in it too. It gives the water a delicate taste. I know, I try it every time we go by. And no, I am no longer fooled by the fake birds. 

Summer camp

An adventure is always fun! As long as it doesn't involve the vacuum cleaner or going away, Skuggan says. But who says we can't have an adventure at home? Like... summer camp! We can picnic too!

Hide and Seek

Missan, /s/he's our neighbour, was just here. I think /s/he's playing hide and seek with me. I ran all the way over here with Matte on the leash, she was like a mitten in the wind behind me... Now I can't find Missan. Can you?

I give up, I don't want to play with a cat that's so good at hiding...
