Gourmet cat

I know what I want and I know how to get it! Matte bought laxfärs for me (the orange can) and I looooved it! I ate nothing but laxfärs for a while. But then I got tired of it. Now I'm into Öring&Torsk (the blue can). It's the best!! It seems we're out, because Matte keeps trying to feed me other stuff. Whitefish is nice (the purple can), I don't mind it. Right now I am waiting for Matte to understand that what's in my bowl - whatever it is - is not approved by me. I want my blue can!!

Rough night?

I think I had a rough night... Don't remember this part at all... An empty glass and Santa in my arms? Personally, I think it is a setup...

Decorated tree

This is what our tree looked like, when it was decorated. Isn't it nice? I think it's very pretty. It smells nice too!

Oh, and there's the gift to me from Claes!!

To be honest...

I have to be honest and tell you that Husse and Matte didn't make the netting of the balcony yesterday. It's been there for about a month, or two. But it was still a Christmas gift! I even helped with the construction. Husse brought the trunk all by himself, though. It was very heavy and took some effort to bring home. We're very proud of Husse, who made such a great job of finding the best scratching pole ever!

Christmas gifts!

I got some Christmas gifts too!! It was great fun to wake up after my nap yesterday. Husse had brought in the tree and they had it all decorated. And there were lots and lots of gifts under it! Matte's mom and Claes came over, I got a piece of carpet from Claes. It is mine to scratch as much as I want!! Husse and Matte didn't wrap their gift to me: they have netted the little balcony so I can go out there myself. They have put up shelves, so that I can climb around a bit and have a good view of what is going on. And Husse brought me a trunk! I can scratch and climb it and it smells so exotic!

Christmas tree

On December 13, Husse went to get our Christmas tree. Matte was still struggling with her cold, so she couldn't go. Husse and Matte had agreed on a small tree, but I think Matte was surprised to see the very, very small tree Husse brought home! I checked it out as soon as I could. The tree is still outside and it has not yet been decorated. Matte is looking forward to having it indoors, and decorated, over Christmas.

Christmas gifts

Matte and I wrapped Christmas gifts this morning. We used red paper on all their gifts and cute blue Disney-paper on all the gifts from me. I liked to hold down the paper when Matte tried to wrap it around whatever was going in. She was very careful and didn't let me go near the scissors, so my moustache is still intact! After the gift wrapping game, I checked the trash can so that Matte hadn't accidently thrown away something useful!

A gift for Matte's mom and a gift for Husse's mom!

Christmas decorations

About two weeks ago, Husse and Matte started decorating the house for Christmas. It is quite nice, lots and lots of new stuff to smell! Matte prefers the little lights in the windows - she says it's less likely for her to stumble over me at night. I think she should ask for goggles for Christmas - the kind where humans can see in the dark!

I helped by pointing out which decoration should go up next.

201!

This is the 201st entry! I should have celebrated the 200th maybe, but as it turns out that was for Lucia-entry. And Lucia, that's a celebration in itself!
My Matte is still feeling lousy, her cold doesn't give in. She decided not to go to work today, so she and I are at home relaxing. I hope all the tea she drinks helps her, because it smells absolutely awful. I would have liked a piece of her cheese-sandwich, but she ate it all herself.

I always like someplace warm to lie on. Maybe I should recommend Matte the dishwasher? It is really nice and warm just after finishing a programme!

Happy Lucia!

Not a traditional picture, but nevertheless: have a Happy Lucia!

They've lost it...

I think Husse and Matte have lost it. What? Everything! Matte may have an excuse, because she has a cold. Husse... well, his excuse is probably that he is tending to Matte. They haven't forgotten about me, they show me they love me and we cuddle in front of the tv together as usual. But... they forgot to buy more of my favourite food... How could they? Now all they have is my former favourite and I just won't touch it! Luckily they finally opened another can of food, that will have to do until they have been to the grocery store. I hope Husse goes grocery shopping today!

I would like some supper, please. What is that? That's not the bowl you usually bring out for me... Oh, do you guys eat too??

Blan-cat

Matte is feeling ill, she doesn't have fever and a chill (I'm a poet and didn't even know it!). But she has a sore throat, and she seems miserable. Husse and I do what we can to comfort her. Husse makes sure she gets all the tea she wants and I make sure she is warm on the outside, making myself into a blan-cat (blanket, hehe).

Camouflaged nap

Matte has a cold, she doesn't really want to do anything, she says. I think she's doing really well: she eats, drinks water and tea, and takes plenty of naps. That's my cup of tea ;-) She did want some fresh air yesterday, so we took a walk together. I smelled every bush I could see, it is quite exhausting but so informative! We were both tired when we got back in, so we snuck up in bed and had ourselves a camouflaged nap... I was wondering if Husse would find us - apparantly he did... Can you find us in the picutre below?

My friend Zlatan

My friend Zlatan comes to visit almost every day. Most often I am indoors and he is outdoors. Once Matte and I ran into Zlatan when we were out on our walk together. Zlatan and I sat and looked at each other for a really long time, until Matte got bored. She then carried me inside. Zlatan followed us all the way to the stairs. I don't know if my friend Zlatan is any good at soccer.

Knock and scratch: Can Enok come out to play?

Paw collection

I have a paw collection. My collection is complete and quite exquisite in my opinion. Sometimes I line up my paws in front of me when I sleep, so I can admire them when I wake up. Husse and Matte are very proud of all of me, but have taken a certain fascination by my paws. Matte sometimes call me Lion Paw. That makes me proud. By a mistake, Husse once called me Bee Paw. It's kind of cute, but I thought bees didn't have paws?

Dirt master

I like this time of year. Somehow everything smells different. Like dirt. Dirt never smells so good! Last year - when these pictures were taken - there was some snow. That's ok, but I appreciate when I can get dirty. It's just so much fun to try to get nice and clean again!

Yepp, see my paw? Nice and dirty

Of course!

Did anyone wonder wether there are white cats on Iceland or not? But of course there are! This fellow showed up the last morning, just before Matte was about to leave the island. He sat on the stairs across the street and had a chat with Matte and Linda before they caught the bus to the airport.

Spa

So Matte has returned home from her spa-weekend. She says she had a really nice time and she told Husse and me all about massage, going swimming outdoors and enjoying both hot and cold baths. It all sounds very strange to me. But then, I am lucky, I spa every day! Tongue spa :-)

When Matte's away...

So Matte is off on her spa weekend. Husse and I are having a great time together. I thought Husse might feel lonely, so I offered to sleep in Matte's bed when she's away. I think Husse appreciates my concern for him.

Bye bye

"Bye, bye, Matte, have a safe trip!" Matte and her cousin are going away for the weekend, on a "spa weekend". I would like the massage part, but I wouldn't want to go swimming. I am sure they will have a nice time, though. Husse and I will stay at home and do guy stuff. Nap, have a drink... Eat something that's made of stuff you don't want to know about...

Vegetarian

No, I'm not a vegetarian! I'm a cat... But I do know that it is healthy to eat all kinds of things. That is why I have a "green salad" growing at home. I always have some before breakfast. It's also a good way to keep me occupied, while Husse or Matte is preparing the main course. Now I know there are other delicious veggie stuff: last night I asked Matte to try some spagetti squash. It was delicious! Just slightly buttered, yummy!! I had two servings!!

Administrative specialist

Haha, I remember this! Husse was ordered to organize his documents. He clearly needed help and who could help him better than an administrative specialist? Matte and I should start I company: she gives the orders, I make sure they are executed! As long as she doesn't start to give me orders... No, I think she knows who the real boss around here is (and no, it's not Husse!)

Shelf climbing

Matte goes to the gym once or twice a week, both Husse and Matte enjoy riding their bikes and I know a lot of other people enjoy what they call exercise. I don't know why they don't use what's available right here? Shelf climbing, for instance! It's no news to a cat and I am sure it could be a quite popular sport.

Birdday

Just browsing through the pictures, waiting for breakfast to be served, I came across this picture from earlier this year. Thought about how exciting it would have been if there actually were birds in that little wooden thing. I'm sure they would have been tasty! It would have been a real birthday treat - and as there were no birds, it may not have been my birthday? So maybe it was a birdday instead?

Hidden treasure?

I am certain Husse and Matte have a hidden treasure in the kitchen and I am determined to find it. Digging for the artefact starts in one of the drawers. It is narrow and difficult to see what might be in there. Unfortunately it is way to narrow for me to climb through. I will have to figure out a way to make a bigger passage.

Walk on the Wild side

They look like the walk on the wild side, don't they? Graffiti seems cool and dangerous. Maybe I should get into it? I wonder if Husse and Matte have a wall I can practice on?

Artistocats

I think Matte ran into Artistocats when she was in Greece. They seem very proud of their work. Maybe this was opening day, showing off their work for the first foreigners? Good thing Matte brought cat food, 'cause I don't think there was much else to nibble. Creative and powerful, don't you think?!

Greek gift

Husse and Matte brought me a gift from Greece! Isn't that nice? To help stimulate my hunting instincts, my food is served at different locations in the house. For a while now, these different locations have become pretty standard, so Matte decided to lay out place mats. Now I have my very own!!

torsdag 22 oktober 2009

Speak Greek?

Do you speak Greek? Neither do I, nor Husse or Matte. Yet they decided to spend a week with Greek cats. I stayed at my favourite cat hotel in Vellinge, Sweden while they were away. It is great there! I have so much fun with the other cats and the nice girls who work there.
