Pedicure

Grooming is important, it helps to stay attractive to your Husse and Matte and anybody else who might lend a lap. Don't forget the small parts! Pedicure is as important as anything else.

Long day

It's been a long day. I had to wake Matte up this morning, she had some strange idea of sleeping in. She finally got up to give me breakfast at 7.10. That's a bit late, I say. We went for our lovely morning walk, I got back inside with my paws wet from the morning dew. It was quite fun to see Husse's face when I walked all over the kitchen - especially when I passed him making breakfast for himself and Matte!!
In the afternoon, Matte and I had another walk. That's when we went on a pigeon stake-out and later chased PlingPlong (the cat that thinks this is his turf... and he's WRONG!) down the street. That was great fun! Matte still needs to work on her getting a quick start and keeping up with me, though. I have now had my supper and watched some tv with Matte. So, it is time to relax!!

Flower power

The flowers are so beautiful! I just had to sit down and enjoy them for a little while.

The smell of early morning

Is there a better smell in the world than a new day? Everthing is slowly getting started, the spiderwebs are beautiful in the morning light and there are no cars out yet.

Dogs...

On our morning walk, Matte and I took a differnt route. We were both enjoying the new scenery, walking about in the same calm and quiet way we usually do. Unfortunately, we passed the neighbour's dogs and they were out in the garden. They make a noise whenever the opportunity, they bark and are quite rude. Of course I fluffed my tail, it turned about three times the size and I looked very dangerous, to tell them dogs what I think of their bad manners. They didn't understand. Matte, she scooped me up in her arms and we left the dogs to walk elsewhere. I decided to head back home as fast as we possibly could and have second breakfast. There's nothing like home for comfort!

This is what I think of the rude dogs: blah, blah, blah!!

Cousin Simon

Matte's cousin Simon is visiting for a few days. It is great fun, we get along very well. We have about the same hours: stay up all night and sleep all day. But I think I can outsleep anyone in this household. I am an expert on napping on sleeping. In the picture I am having one of my well-deserved naps. Simon's lap is very comfortable!

The Enok board

It used to be Matte's ironing board, but it is now the Enok board! Matte got herself a new ironing board, so I got the old one. I used the old one anyway, so it's not much of a difference on my part. Matte doesn't like the new ironing board, but hey, a gift is a gift! The Enok board is just perfect: the right height for a good view, very comfortable for playing, napping, showering... and ironing, if I'm not using it!

Baking

Sometimes Matte bakes bread. Sometimes I want to help. I smell all the stuff she wants to put in the bread, to determine it hasn't gone bad. Then it's best to stay out of the way. What better place than sit in the flour basket? After all, it was empty...

Come on, let's go!

Come on Come on and tell me why you're staring
Come on Come on it must be what I'm wearing
Come on Come on and tell me why's it taking so long for you (...)
I take a look in the sky a plane goes by (...)
I take a look and I wonder why, why these birds don't fly (...)
Smash Mouth - part of the lyrics "Come on Come on"
Matte forgot something. I waited at the door for her to get back, so we could take our walk.

Saturday mornings

Making good use of Saturday mornings is to get Matte up not later than 7. The timing depends on how hungry I am and how sleepy Matte is... After breakfast, we go for a walk. We took a long walk today and it was very nice. It was foggy and quiet, we only saw a few birds and a jogger. When we get in, Husse had breakfast ready for us. I like to join Husse when he reads the morning paper after having breakfast: he can read the paper and rub my chin at the same time!

Fall is here

Fall must be here: it's raining "cats and dogs" (haha!) and it is really windy. Earlier there was some thunder, too. Or maybe that was on the film Husse and Matte were watching? Matte and I took a walk this afternoon, when it wasn't raining. But the grass was wet, so my paws left cute prints all over the house when we got in. Anyway, it's nice to stay warm when it is cold outside. One nice, warm spot in my house is the printer!
