When Matte's away

Matte is going to visit her sister, brother-in-law and nephew in Athens this weekend. Matte will be travelling with her mom and they are looking forward to a relaxed weekend cuddling with little Nils. It is reported that Nils is almost as fast as I am, as long as he's on all four! I'm pretty certain I'm still the better - and more patient - bird watcher.
Husse and I'll be chillin' (is that correct? I'm trying to be cool...) while Matte's away.
Husse is planning on * AfterWork with colleagues * doing a back-up on the computer * eat stuff Matte doesn't like.
I plan to * stay at home * sleep while Husse messes up the computer * eat the same stuff I usually eat.
Together, we plan to watch golf on TV!

This is what it will look like when we watch TV together.

Dear Zigge

Dear Zigge,
Thank you for your comment on "Sleepy Cat"! I'm happy to hear from you and that you and your Matte follow my blog. It's very flattering. Has your Matte gotten you a radiator bed yet? I love mine! It's so warm and cozy... actually I'm almost asleep there right now... just dictating this for Matte to type...
Sweet dreams! Enok

"Is there anybody out there?"

Snow!

We have snow! Quite a bit of it too. Even though I go out barefoot, Matte does not. She usually wears clogs, but has had to wear boots the last couple of days. It's quite cold to walk in the snow, but I still enjoy getting out. I avoid walking through the deepest snow, that's much too cold... and wet, as it is thawing today. Sometimes I step where Matte has walked, the snow there is perfectly packed!

A bit too cold for posing, but here I am. In the snow!

Matte and I. She's not concentrating and about to be left behind...

Husse and I

Every now and then, when Matte is not at home, Husse and I have a day or a couple of hours just by ourselves. Last Friday and this coming Thursday are "Husse-and-Enok-evenings" when Husse and I do things we like to do together. I guess it's pretty much what we do any other day, but it's special to be just the two of us.

Shower box

Finally I have my own shower box! Well, the entire house is mine of course, but it's nice to have something that I don't have to share with Husse and Matte. I'm not particularly interested in their shower - for some strange reason there's water in it... Water can be fun to play with, but I don't want to get wet. My shower box is nice and warm, sitting on the heated floor.
How to use a shower box properly:
- install the box (no piping necessary!)
- get in the box
- start licking!

It is important with a perfect fit.

Sleepy cat

When Husse and Matte got me my new scratching poles, they also got me a new bed. It is quite nice, it hangs on the radiator, which makes it nice and warm. I guess it's kind of a hammock. Rather comfy! And me being a sleepy cat, I guess it was a good gift!

Is it my birthday?

I wonder if it may be my birthday? I'll be 2 this year. Growing older and wiser every day! Why I wonder is all the excitement this weekend:
- Friday night, Husse and I had a "us guys" evening
- Saturday night and Sunday lunch I've been served veal (it was veal-ly good!! - Basil Fawlty)
- I got gifts!

Checking out my new scracthing pole. Cool!

This is my old scratching pole - with a new addition and moved to a new spot. I like this window too.

Enok Office

This is my office! I have everything I need: a Filofax, a USB-stick, a computer... Blogging has become quite a hobby of mine. Almost equal to bird watching and playing with Dot... no, that is exaggerating. This is my list of interest:
1. Playing with Dot.
2. Playing with Dot.
3. Playing with Dot.
4. Bird watching.
5. Bird watching.
6. Blogging and watching tv.
Is sleeping a hobby?

Oh, it's right here, under my Filofax!

Here's the USB-stick you asked for, Matte!

This looks allright. Publish!

The Cat Who Came In With Dirty Paws

Matte and I took a walk yesterday. It was raining a little, so Matte thought I didn't want to stay out much. Well, was she wrong...! The world smelled marvellous and I sniffed just about everything in our garden. We checked out some strange little green things in the lawn: Matte claims they are tulips-to-be. Hmm, I guess I have to wait and see. I also found a very interesting spot just over on our neighbour's side of the hedge. Unfortunately Matte didn't want to crawl through the hedge with me, so I had to smell from a bit of a distance. I think there may have been a rabbit there...
Walking in the rain does have one side effect that I'm not sure I like: my paws get really dirty...
