Visitors

In the evenings Mr Bunny comes to visit. He likes to eat the apples (small and sour, according to Matte) from our tree. The apples aren't ready to be eaten until August. There's also a Mr Hedgehog stopping by every now and then. I don't know what he eats.

All three of us - something caught my eye, maybe a bird?

Perfect Paw-rest

In the mornings, I enjoy sitting in the kitchen window. I watch most of our neighbours leaving for work: they drive a car, walk or ride a bike. Most enjoyable to watch are neighbours walking their dogs. The kitchen window is nice and warm in the mornings too.
Matte has a tapas-dish, meant for herbs and stuff, there. It's perfect for me, I sit in the tapas-disch watching the world go by. When I get tired, I can rest my front paws on the plant just next to my tapas-dish.

US Open

US Open, in the New York-area this year, is interesting. There are four Swedes playing and we hope they do well. Husse watches as much as he possibly can, I watch until I fall asleep and Matte watches... well, some, but not much. Husse brings his computer to the tv, so he can check the info at www.usopen.com when the commentator isn't fast enough. (I like to sit on the computer, it's nice and warm.)

I'm back!

I am feeling like my old self again, after the tooth-job I had Monday. Matte has been giving me painkillers, they have really helped. Today was the last day, though. I will continue to eat Aloe vera, but I really don't like that. Matte mixes it with my breakfast and I now eat my breakfast as late as possible, I need to be really hungry to eat that stuff.

I have slept a lot this past week, sleep is good when you're recovering from something. Matte felt really sorry for me, which usually means I'm allowed to sleep with them in their bedroom... Nice, warm and cozy! I have recovered very well. I wanted Matte to know how much I appreciate their love for me, so I woke her up at 3 am and purred really loud in her ear (she has earplugs, so I had to cuddle real close and purr as loud as I possibly could). I think she appreciated me letting her know.

Recovering - Matte had a terrible headache and I showed her how to sleep it off!

Bowl 'n' Boy

In our kitchen, we have a "Lazy Susan". That's where Husse keeps his pots and pans and stuff. It is in a cupboard that I can open the door to and once in a while I check it out. The other day, Husse re-arranged the bowls. Lucky me - there was one, just my size!! You can imagine the time it will take Husse and Matte to find me next time I decide to hide in here for my nap...!

Happy Midsummer!

Only girls have flowers in their hair...
so Matte decorated me with dill...

Post-op

Matte picked me up around 3 in the afternoon. The operation went well, according to the very nice vet Hanna. Hanna, thanks for taking so well care of me and my Matte!! I look dreadful in the pictures below, but I am feeling much better. I am on painkillers and they are very effective. By the minute, I feel I regain my strength. I am less sleepy and much more stable. I tried to jump up in the bedroom-window, which didn't go well. Husse brought me a chair to step on, which made all the difference!
Claes, thank you so much for your call and your concern. I love you too! Enok

At the Dentist

Matte brought me to the vet this morning, I was going to get my teeth cleaned by the dentist. As it turns out, I have a tooth-disease called FORL. Sounds absolutely terrible: the teeth disintegrate slowly but surely. Apparantly, I have already lost some of my teeth. As more teeth are already showing signs of the disease, the dentist recommended Matte to remove 9 of my teeth today. Matte will be picking me up this afternoon, with lots and lots of new instructions: only soft food for about a week, then I can go back to my regular diet. I will have to get my remaining teeth brushed every day. (That'll be interesting - I really, really do not like anybody to touch my mouth!) I will be getting Aloe Vera, Matte will buy it at the Vet's Shop before picking me up.

Early bird

As you know well by now, I like to relax and nap. I find new spots every now and then, but there are some favourites that I keep coming back to. Like my "hanging bed", wow, that's an all-time favourite! I have one in the living room and one in the hall. Right now I prefer the one in the hall, that's where I sleep every morning when Matte get up to fix my breakfast. Unless I get up before her, which is more common... Today she got up at 6, which was early even for me. Didn't anyone tell her it's Saturday??

My radiator bed in the living room is white...

and my radiator bed in the hall is beige!

Then there's my Monster Bed, it has yellow eyes and a long tail. I slept there when I was a baby.

Hide and Seek

I love to play with Matte and Husse. Mostly we play with a toy that I hunt. Or with Dot, she's still my best toy. But we also play Hide and Seek. Matte hides and I seek! She's not very good at hiding, our Hide and Seek usually turns out to be a Peek-a-boo, which is great fun as well. Sometimes Husse and Matte can't find me, but it's not that I'm hiding, it's just that I found a new place to rest!

I love my boxes!

Summer is almost here!

Yepp, summer is almost here! We have had a few days with gorgeous weather. Husse and Matte don't seem to mind spending almost an hour with me in the garden when they come home from work. They are more reluctant to go out when it's windy, cloudy and almost raining. But now I know it's almost summer!! Husse and Matte brought down the chairs for outdoors from the attic the other day.

I fell asleep on the chairs...

Shaving

I truly must be a big boy now that I shave! But no, my lovely moustaches (= whiskers) are still in place, but the vet shaved a spot on my leg when she drew blood. This is the second time since I moved to Husse and Matte that I've been shaved. I guess I'm getting used to it.
