How they know

Have you wondered how Husse and Matte know when I want a snack? Well, it's quite easy - I tell them in a way they understand! Catching their attention can be tricky. Especially if we are in different rooms of the house. I find that making noise is very efficient. They get curious and come to see what's up. Then I show them where they should be looking - in this case, the empty bowl... Works every time!!

Matte's mom called last night to let us know that she and her Claes had spent all day at the vet's together with Julia the cat. Julia had been limping and it was time to find out why. She did not like the vet and she told him so. She's a tough lady!! Anyway, they did find out the she had hurt her leading-string on her right hind leg. Julia will need an operation and it is scheduled for Tuesday. We hope for a successful operation - get well soon, Julia!

Yeah, I know what to do and how to do it. But why? Why is this better than dig a hole and then cover it up? I think I'll stick to my way.

Very odd...

This is very odd... I was going to look out the window by the front door, but there was something different. I sat down and thought for a second... Aha! That smell does not belong here!! It is my cat litter - it's not supposed to be on the floor, but in my litter box. I do wonder what Matte thought when she put it here? There's not enough, so maybe she just spilled some??

Best time

I enjoy company. I really do! I am shy, so I might not show it, but it is very interesting when Husse and Matte bring friends home. Lots and lots of exciting new smells. I check out your purse and your shoes when you get your drink. I watch you when you eat and study your reaction when Matte asks how you feel about a cat on the dinner table... But the best time is probably when we're back to normal: when the dishwasher has finished its job and Husse can lend me a hand to scratch my cheek!

The lid is sooooo warm, I love it, I love it, I love it! And if Husse can lend me a hand... Can life be any better than this?

My turn!

Husse and Matte went to their penguin-party last night and left me home alone. They got back home at 2 am. Matte gave me a midnight (well, early morning) snack, which I appreciated. I still wanted breakfast at 6, though. And I reminded them of the time at 7. And again at 8. At 9 they finally got up, which is good because it is now my turn to use the bed! I hope they enjoy their breakfast.

Up to something...

Husse and Matte are up to something... And I don't think I'm invited... Husse is dressing up like a penguin and Matte brought out these really long dresses. I tried to try one on, but I soon realized it was not realistic.

Hiding under the dress-cover is more my style anyway!

Escape route

Shernock Holmes investigates escape routes on the balcony... "If I could get out here, I access the roof where the pigeons are..."

Prints

There are paw prints in the snow on my netted balcony! Has someone else been here? Or did I leave those prints? It is curious and interesting to investigate. I am the Shernok Holmes of Sibbarp!

Snow on my balconoy

I just wanted to share some pictures with you of my balcony in snow-costume. It is pretty, isn't it? Even though it is awfully cold. I rather sit just inside the door and look out on it. Keeping the door open is not much appreciated by Husse and Matte, they say the entire house turns really cold. They should learn to stay under the covers more!

This is me checking out the view from my balcony. It's quite nice, don't you think? Mostly, I watch birds. There are quite a few in our garden. Matte feeds them. I think she started feeding them because she enjoyed watching the birds, but now she feeds them to keep me entertained too. Besides the fact that she feeds the birds for their well-being, of course!

Some like it hot

Ooh, I like it! I like it when the dishwasher has finished and Husse or Matte opens the lid. Matte usually dries off the damp and then I get cozy!

Checking my pee-mail

When I got home from the cat hotel I first checked the house to make sure everything was in order. It was! Then I asked for a snack. (Husse and Matte are easily talked into giving me a snack - but don't tell them... If they know, they might change their behaviour!) The snack gave me plenty of energy, and I had a lot of catching up to do. So I took Matte for a walk in the garden to check my pee-mails and I responded to one too.

Going home

Husse and Matte celebrated New Year's Eve with Husse's parents. I was brought to the cat hotel where I love to stay. It's great, the people are very nice and I meet new friends every time. I had two neighbours this time, we enjoyed each other's company. Matte picked me up today and we went back home. It's great fun to stay at the cat hotel, but there's no place like home!
