Shedding?

Matte claims that every time she vacuums, she finds cat hair to build at least one other Enok. I think she is exagerrating. But then evidence as the picture below is hard to argue - I may be shedding, just a little...

Intruder

For the second morning in a row, I chased PlingPlong off my territory. He's not very clever, he picks the same spot over and over again. This morning I tricked him real good! I started off heading straight on, but then detoured a little bit. Passed the potatoes and then surprised PlingPlong by showing up behind him. He hissed and took off real quick. He should know by now who's the boss around here!

Dear Matte, thank you for going downstairs into the basement. Once you did, the clouds dispersed and the sun came out. Once you got started on the ironing, it got really warm too. The skies are blue, not a cloud in sight and it is quite warm. I love lying in the sun, just contemplating. Matte, aren't there any other chores you can do in the basement? I would like another hour or so in the sun! Love, Enok

Some like it hot

Recycling, that's what it's all about! Who says that something should only be used for what it was made for? So when Husse left the skillet on the stove and turned his back for a second, I quickly made my move. The skillet has a perfect shape and well... some like it hot!

Royal wedding

Love, trust and companionship, sharing, warmth and honesty - important words for everyone. We may think of different things, but June 19th truly belonged to Crown Princess Victoria and her Prince Daniel. I watched the royal wedding together with Husse and Matte, though admittely, I fell asleep during the speech by the archbishop.

Breakfast

When Husse and Matte have had their breakfast, they enjoy reading the morning paper. That also means they pay less attention to me. I check out whatever is left on the table (yeah, I know, I'm not supposed to be there...) This one morning I found the bread basket! What a wonderful shape and perfect size. I wonder why they haven't left it out for me before?

Jump!

Jumping is great exercise! I did a lot of jumping when Matte and I took our morning walk today. I climbed the willow first and jumped to the ground from the very top. That was very exciting, it was quite a jump! Then I climbed the apple tree and jumped to the ground from there. I also jumped up and down a huge box in the garden. The box sits underneath a window so it was fun to look in on the living room from the outside. Matte didn't jump at all, she was much too busy trying to keep up with me.

Half marathon

Yesterday people ran a half marathon from Copenhagen to Malmö. The route took them just a few blocks from our house. It was quite noisy, with the music and the cheering on, but it didn't bother me at all. Husse took the car to run an errand, but he soon realised that he shouldn't have. The streets were blocked in all kinds of directions. He had to be quite creative in finding his way to the store and back. In honor of everybody running the half marathon yesterday, I took Matte for quite a run this morning. When we got back, she was huffing and puffing so bad, I thought she was going to blow the house down!

Sauna

Isn't it everybody's dream to have a spa at home? Massage, pedicure, maybe even a hairdresser... That's what I got and now I even have a sauna! And it's my own, neither Husse nor Matte will use it. Well, they don't use it themselves, but they make sure it has wonderful smells in it: roasted chicken, roastbeef...

Raining cats and dogs

When Husse and Matte came home today, Matte told me it's been raining cats and dogs all day. Now, this I really had to see! Having spent all day napping in my new box (it is huge and I love it!) I really didn't know what to expect. Tons and tons of little kitten and puppies on the lawn? Whatever my expectations, I was really disappointed seeing that it was just regular rain and that it was awfully, disgusting wet as always. I'm lucky I have a balcony that is partly covered so that I could check out the mess from there!

Graduation

I've graduated! It's been graduation at all the schools in Malmö this week. Students have been roaming downtown (I haven't), yelling and drinking. My degrees are sleeping disorders and training household staff. We celebrated by inviting a friend for the weekend, which was great fun. I made sure her bed was in perfect condition before she got her room and then we partied all night. They had wine, I didn't. Yet I was the one who threw up after breakfast... it's not fair!
