Anniversary

Husse and Matte recently celebrated their 7th anniversary. They treated themselves to a quiet evening at home and a nice meal. They let me in on the deal by giving me a nice meal too. I don't get the soft food everyday, but this being a special day I even got my favourite flavour: tuna! It is goooood!!

Husse's assistant

As if I'm not busy enough, I'm also Husse's assistant. Every now and then Husse doesn't go to the office, but stays at home and work from here. Of course I'm happy to help him any way I can! I also know the importance of taking a break, so I make sure he gets his cup of coffee... usually about the time when I like my little snack or negotiate a short walk in the garden (hardly ever happens, but asking never hurt anyone!).

Matte's Little Helper

I'm "Matte's Little Helper"! Please feel free to listen to Rolling Stones' "Mother's Little Helper"... but that's not the kind of help my Matte need, nor is it the kind of help I offer. Recently, I have helped Matte quite a bit: ironing, cleaning floors (vacuum and wet), mowing the lawn, doing dishes and drying them... Matte gets so much done when I'm around!


I help Matte watch her favourite show "E.R.", by making sure she can't iron


I make sure Matte doesn't wear her favourite shirt too often. When Matte mowed the lawn I watched her from every possible window! She didn't miss a spot.

I am not certain the lid will stay... but ok, I'll trust Matte on this one!

Maybe Matte shouldn't leave this part sticking out? Someone (me!) could trip over it...

Scratchercize

Scratchercizing is not only great fun, it's good for you too! You can scratch indoors, on curtains, walls or outdoors on the patio or find a tree. (Husse and Matte recommend trees... but they still haven't planted an indoor-tree for me to scratch. I have scratchingpoles, but they are no fun...). I also found the screen door! Great not only for scratching, but also for climbing. I scratched the lower part goooood :-) There's a big hole in the door now, so Husse took it down. I don't know why they blame me??

Focus!

Husse's toys

I like my toys, I have a pingpong ball and feathers and stuff like that. Husse also likes his toys, but his stuff is ... well maybe not boring, but not as much toys if you see what I mean. He rented a thing to get the wall paper glue off the walls in the basement: is that a toy? To Husse it is! Husse also has a BBQ, where he cooks quite often. Matte and I especially enjoy watching him cooking on it when it is raining outdoors.

This end doesn't smell as much... But I have to make sure - things might change from time to time!

What Matte sees

Matte takes lots and lots of pictures of me, quite a few when we are talking our walks in the gareden. She is constantly trying to take the picture of me. I am not sure even she knows what the the picture looks like, but she seems confident in her quest anyway. Every now and then she finds another topic to angle her pictures. Like "the way she sees me" when we are out walking. It is mainly from behind or from above, as you can see!

One of my favourie spots in the garden: from here I look into the neighbour's front door. They have 3 children, who have lots of friends. It's always very interesting to see who is coming and who is going. Matte can't see them from here, though.

From here I can look into the other neighbour's garden. He is rarely out there, so his garden is always full of birds - and they are great fun to watch!

From here I watch a parking space. Sometimes I see people walking by too! There is a cat who likes to go under the fence here, so I usually spend a lot of time sniffing the fence. It keeps me very busy... and Matte very bored!

This is a great spot, but kind of scary. I watch the street from here - cars are much too big and I get frightened of them. Bicycles are even worse...

Matte is trying to see what I see. She's not very successful, I think. Next time she will have to lay down on the ground (which she won't - she is having enough trouble trying to keep up with me when I suddenly run off somewhere else!)

This is my favourite picture - Matte had me in good view and just as she was going to take the picture, I jumped over the bag of fertilizer they have here. Matte finds it very difficult to try to take pictures at the same time she is trying to catch up with me.
